Travel to Pompeii aboard new and comfortable air-conditioned minibuses, driven by experienced and professional staff. The journey from Naples to Pompeii takes about 40 minutes, with arrival expected around 11:00 a.m. In ancient times, Pompeii was a densely populated and prosperous city, full of public and private buildings; its approximately 20,000 inhabitants were buried under a blanket of volcanic ash following the violent eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. A rain of lapilli charred and covered the city with over six meters (20 feet) of material. Centuries later, the voids left by the decomposition of bodies in the ash allowed archaeologists to create the famous plaster casts.

During a guided walk of about two hours, you’ll discover the most fascinating spots in Pompeii, such as the Forum, the Baths, the Lupanar, and some houses with beautiful frescoes and mosaic floors.

After a short lunch break, you’ll continue by minibus towards the Sorrentine Peninsula. Along the way, you’ll admire the medieval castle that gives its name to Castellammare di Stabia, the small beaches of Vico Equense and Seiano, and the lush Mediterranean vegetation that colors the landscape with the vivid hues of lemons and oranges. A short stop at the Meta di Sorrento viewpoint will give you the chance to enjoy a breathtaking view of the bay that stretches all the way to the island of Capri.

Once in Sorrento, you’ll take a one-hour walk with your guide through the most famous streets of the city and admire unique panoramic views, where you can enjoy the beauty of the Gulf as far as Punta Campanella and capture postcard-worthy photos of the Sorrento landscape. Return to the hotel is scheduled for around 5:00 p.m.
